J2 Research takes data protection very seriously. Our full privacy notice is available here. In summary:
- We process information about you that can specifically identify you such as your name and phone number. This information has been provided to us by one of our education clients to whom you have applied to, for the purpose of conducting this survey project.
- We will only use this information to contact you for the purpose of this survey project.
- At no time will the information you provide be used for any purpose other than this survey project and you will in no way be adversely affected by taking part.
- We collect survey data on behalf of our education clients and the data controller of the survey data is our client who has a legitimate purpose for asking you to participate in this survey project.
- Our clients determine what information they want us to collect and what they will use it for. Your survey responses are owned and managed by our client who will have their own policy on data handling and who will decide on whether your responses are kept private, disclosed to third parties, or provided to the public. You should contact our client if you have any questions about this survey project, or to exercise your rights in relation to the survey data being collected.
- We do not accept nor process personal information for survey projects from individuals who are less than 16 years of age.
- Our Company policy is to securely delete all respondents’ personally identifiable information after each survey project is completed. We do not sell any survey data whatsoever to other parties nor do we store it to contact you for a purpose other than under the direction of our client.
- As with all forms of surveys and market research, your co-operation is voluntary at all times. No personal information is sought from or about you without your prior knowledge and agreement. The legal basis for processing your data is to enable J2 Research to provide the service as agreed with its clients for legitimate research project purposes.
- You have the right under the UK GDPR [the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679)] to access any information held about you or to rectify it, amongst others. If you would like to exercise any of your rights as a data subject under the UK GDPR, please (a) inform the tele-researcher accordingly and we will forward your request to our client (b) phone our office on 0191 917 8619 (we’re open 9am to 8pm Monday-Thursday and 9am to 3pm on Fridays).
- We apply high standards of security to all information that we hold or process. All telephone research work is conducted on our UK based premises. No data is ever taken, shared or made available externally. Our information security and data protection policies and procedures follow industry best practice.
- All survey projects are completed in accordance with the Data Sharing Agreement we have in place with our clients and J2 Research’s Information and Data Protection Policy.
